Controller script not found

I'm using the Novation SLMKII script SLMKII4Bitwig (if that makes a difference).
I've installed it on my system and it works great, so kudos to the developer!

Yesterday I tried to install it on a colleagues system following the same procedure: Simply place the script folder in the (windows) %USER%/Bitwig Studio/Controller Scripts/ folder, then restart Bitwig.
Auto detect did not work and nor did the SLMKII item appear on the Novation list of controllers for manual selection.

Is there a trouble shooting procedure for such issues?
Is there a way to check or change the location of Bitwig controller scripts?
