I'm also having NO success downloading. I'm using Firefox (latest), windows 64 (latest), etc. No problems with other downloads. However, I am currently based overseas and there could be security blocks from U.S. internet servers, so I don't know if that's the cause. But, Hey! I'm one of the good guys so don't block me.
Yeah, it's frustrating because I'd like to try it out, too... and even donate. Kind of curious about what happens if/when there's an actual "paid" version. I pay my money, they receive it, but then I can't download the product.

I am sorry to hear that you have trouble downloading Code Red Free. I just wanted to say that I have just downloaded, without a problem, all three Code Red Free binaries using IE and Firefox. I am based in US.jonny_g wrote:I've never come across it before either, and it only seems to occur when trying to download Code Red (I downloaded a couple of other things I didn't really want just to check). I did Google the error before posting here. There are very few threads about it. Some suggested that it was a problem with DownThemAll in old versions of Firefox but my version is up to date. After I found that out I tried with Internet Explorer and Opera but still get the same message at the same point.

Just to see if anything else was affected I downloaded the little Ace amp and the SGA156664 from the site with no problem, but the Code Red (on my Win 7 machines), no. Still comes to a halt with the 'Size mismatch' error, although it got to 64% this time.
I dug out an old XP laptop and tried downloading using Internet Explorer. That reported that it had downloaded the file but it only downloaded 3.44Mb and the file was reported as corrupt when I tried installing.

Thank you for trying again. I will see with our hosting service if they are doing something to downloads from the Code Red Free page.jonny_g wrote:Just to see if anything else was affected I downloaded the little Ace amp and the SGA156664 from the site with no problem, but the Code Red (on my Win 7 machines), no. Just like to say thank you, the distortion is fairly interesting.
To the download issue:
cleaning the browser cache is one thing I am thinking of atm.

Win7 here DL without problem.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Just tested and it sounds amazing.
Shattered Glass Audio delivers yet again, and I'm so happy about that.

Please tell us what this 1.0.5 update brings us exactly?

Correct latency reporting to the host. We have a news blurb regarding v1.0.5 but has not been approved yet.Vospi wrote:Please tell us what this 1.0.5 update brings us exactly?

I too receive the error message "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program" after trying to install 64bit version on Windows 8.1 x64. I'm located in Sweden.
Could this have something to do with c++ runtime libraries or something? The only time I've ever had a problem installing a plugin was a free one from Klevgränd. But I installed some visual studio package thing and it solved the problem.
UPDATE
On my third try downloading I could install without the "corrupt file" message. Thanks!

I'm able to download it, but I can't tell if it's any newer than the version I already had (which I downloaded the day you first posted about it here). The file sizes are the same, and there's no "About" page in the effect--or anything else I can find--that would display the version number.SGA wrote:Correct latency reporting to the host. The website also doesn't state which version you're downloading, so I'm not even sure what I downloaded.
But at least I didn't get any errors.
