Do yall know any places where I can get music mastered?
I've look at Studiopros, BUT I've read complaits about them. One saying they kept delaying a Nlyon Guitar part, because they couldn't "replicate" the part 100% so they droped it. The other was because they couldn't get the drums to be in synch and some other stuff...
I've another question. I've been working on a video game music cover for a while. Is it ok to get music covers mastered even if the original work isn't yours?
Thank you in advance.

Let me rephrase that....
Do anyone know any good mastering studios where I can my music cover mastered?
And I'm making my own music cover of a video game song. Is it ok to get that mastered legally?

I think your first post just gives the impression that you're unsure about what mastering does.
In mastering, in most cases, somebody takes your finished mixdown and optimizes it. There usually is no way somebody could drop a part or have sync issues between parts, because they only receive your complete mix-down.
That being said, you could try my promotion code for landr.com to get two free masters:

Mastering a cover song isn't an issue, but releasing or trying to sell a cover track to somebody will probably be a problem.

Hi Gothim, I'm an ME (I've mastered for many very well known electronica artists). For 99% of mastering jobs the stereo mixdown is all that's required to work with. In the other 1% of jobs I will request stems if the mix really isn't up to snuff and the client seems inexperienced when being asked to make changes.
As regards legality - that's entirely in your court. It's not illegal for an ME to master anything you send him/her - the responsibility of what you do with that mastered piece of music afterwards lies with you.

You can go ahead and dismiss it or try and see what it can do for your music. That's up to you. In the time you spent reading reviews, you could have received your song mastered back for free.Gothim wrote:I've just read reviews about that site, and i've heard its all just some program that masters your song with a preset. Lame.

It was a while ago but I used Lorenz Vauck and it was really good - and not expensive.
