This just sounds like a huge waste of time and effort. And stress.
I reserved a license. If I never install it and i've abandoned my PC by the time Win 10 is reportedly stable and uniform (uniform, hah hah), then no loss.

I have QT version 7.7.7 running fine on Windows 10. No issues with Cubase either. Video works just like before. Only thing I had to do was to run the maintenance thingy on eLicenser.Maincat wrote:No Quicktime 7.7.7 support in Windows 10!! Hence no video support in Cubase and Nuendo at this time.

Found a fix for ilok manager not launching in windows 10 that works for me.
In windows search box type services.msc
Click it
scroll down to pace in the list, think I right clicked it and clicked start.
Ilok manager should now launch.

Hello,
Best regards,

How have you managed to install Quicktime 7.7.7 in Windows 10, without receiving an error message?gravehill wrote:I have QT version 7.7.7 running fine on Windows 10. No issues with Cubase either. I had QT 7.7.7 already on my Windows 8.1 installation. I then updated to Windows 10 over the top. I made sure I had the latest eLicenser (24 July I think) before the update to Windows 10.Guillermo Navarrete wrote:Hello,

I've downloaded the Windows 10 Pro ISO with this Microsoft tool. I plan on holding off a bit until a few more companies give the green light to supporting it.
I have a question to all those that upgraded for free: what windows key did you use? Was it the one that came with your current Windows OS? I haven't seen a way to get a Windows 10 key for a clean install...

I did the straight upgrade from existing. I tried putting in my win7/8 key into an iso I made and it wasnt accepted. Doing the upgrade path you dont need a key though

That's what I was afraid of. I'll wait to see what other news sites say before installing. Thanks.ezelkow1 wrote:I did the straight upgrade from existing. I tried putting in my win7/8 key into an iso I made and it wasnt accepted. Doing the upgrade path you dont need a key though

What do you need the key for? Windows 10 don't ask you any key - it checks the installed version, and if it is validated, it simply installs. You don't need to input any key (at least i didn't - and I already did three installs, in three different computers).ClubHo wrote:Step 1: Download and Run Creation Tool - Pick the correct OS type. Step 2: Get your NEW 10 key

Step 3: Do a clean install if you want. I made a DVD from the creation tool also, had problems using an old bad USB stick.
Step 4: Enjoy the dot.zero release

EDIT: Don't do it, Microsoft is tying the activation to the bios. I think with a clean install you are supposed to use skip now and activate later or something. Using the generic key they assigned you will just mess things up.fmr wrote:What do you need the key for?
