Half price on Enzyme, costing just $39.99 until 12 midnight (GMT/UTC) on Sunday 9 August (Enzyme cost regularly $79.99)
Yet again I demo this only to decide again that it is not only weird but very thin sounding.

However, this time I note that that it has suffered a mysterious price increase. Even the demo still says on it "Buy Enzyme for only $49.99".

We are told that it is HALF price though at $39.99. There are laws against this type of pricing practice in many jurisdictions.
I don't see it as a scam. The regular price is $79.99. If you just go to the website and buy it when there's not a sale, that's the price. However, if you do the reasonable thing and try out the demo first, you get an otherwise unadvertised special deal -- $30.00 off.

I don't think that changes the fact that the current sale is 50% off the regular price. But they may use different logic in many jurisdictions.

Still, I'm sticking with ScannedSynth for now...

well, apart from not liking the look and sound of the plugin, I'm beginning to dislike the developer as well :hihi: no, seriously, i think that's just a pathetic way of marketing and treating (future?) customers. not bothered w/ improving the software - let alone creating a new piece - but try to squash even more cash out of the old ones...

They bumped the price up a couple of months ago. In the past they used to do 20% off promos bringing it down to $39.99 so the sale price is the same as it always was, guess they are just trying to make the sales look better.

Personally, I've been half-tempted by it every time its reduced, not enough to actually part with the money though. If the GUI wasn't so awful I might well have grabbed it by now but then I've had Scanned Synth for years and have never used it in a track or anything beyond messing round making noise.

Questionable sales tactics like this are off-putting though, especially considering its unlikely to ever be supported further and the dev doesn't even bother with his own support forum.

Yep, here from good ol' Germany i ask myself the the same.. .not exactly with France.. you know?... ahh.. forget it!

I would give a leg to get it for that price! :D
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Just imagine: ~400 euro at JRR, 800euros in France and Germany

Doesn't seem to be active, still showing full price in cart.
Is this worth even half the price? How would it compare to Synth Legacy (same size) which was a Guitar Center exclusive? Seems the latter one at least has a better GUI.

What is the current lowest price for it and
what was the lowest price ever sold for
at KVR or eBay, Amazon etc?
I would love to have this great VSTi if
I can get it at a low price.

Perhaps best to wait for Iris 3 if the
wait is not too long?
Hey I got it!
Iris 2!
I just could not wait for Iris 3.
Not the patient type.
Will install it on my upgraded music
computer when I install Windows 10.
I hope it is soon.

I owe a public thanks to Dostoyevsky
for pointing out the Iris 2 KVR sale to me
and
to coskivst for the smooth transaction.
