Wow 2tb is massive :o But... the site is all in chinese :scared:

Really?
I couldn't think of a worse place for a HDD.
The heat, the cold, the bumps, the potential for theft, the potential for a crash. Sounds like a terrible idea IMO.

And I assume your data is all in China?

That is crazy big for free cloud storage, though.

I have a 50 GB free Box business account (though there's a 250 MB individual file size limit, making it not so good for sound libraries, etc.) and a few lesser at 2 to 15 GB.

Agree 100%. Terrible place.

Guess I'll do the same. Password protected.

I installed the stuff I downloaded yesterday on a different machine just to be sure everything works and saw that they removed all user data (mail, address) from the products About screen except the user name. Any idea why?

If I remember correctly people complained about their personal data being shown when Alchemy was loaded......

No, I mean when you click on About product, not at the plugin start up.

I spent a few days and e-mails back and forth trying to get Guitar Mutations downloaded. Eventually, it did download, but I was getting a "Failed Transaction" for several days. A few things to try, logout of your account, then log back in. Do a refresh of the Library listings. Also double-check you are running 2.3.18.

Does 'Dream Voices' even show up for you? Also, log in to your Camel Audio account on their website and looking for the Mobile download from your download page.

One of my iPads, I installed based on my 'Purchased' list and it installed 2.3.11. I assumed it would have installed the latest, so I was not seeing any of the libraries listed. After installing from my Purchase History, I then needed to update Alchemy Mobile to 2.3.18. Then logout, log back in, and eventually I got it to work.

'Dream Voices' is one of my favorite libraries. I wasn't expecting much as I didn't need vocals, but it ended up blowing me away and I have used this library on a few recordings. I hope you can get it worked out.

It's the same as the startup. The only recognizable item (on mine) is my name which is basically only my first and last initial. The other data are defaults for street and phone.

As you can still log in to your user account @camelaudio.com, I suggest, in addition to downloading all the installers (PC/MAC) and libraries, also get the Alchemy Player versions of the libraries, even if you have the synth.

The Player version libraries can be used in Alchemy Mobile (if you have the Pro version). Someone might miss them, as you have to first click on "Show Alchemy Player files" on the bottom of the Product Download page to see the download links...

Yeah, Online storage is all the rage here. There is one company that is reportedly offering 20TB storage for free if you sign up now. :o

It made my 2tb storage seem small. :scared:

Again, it's not my main place. It's like my 4th or so redundant backup. Agreed that it's not the best place, but it's offsite and immediately accessible.

Thanks again. Yes you're right. This is confirmed by CA, I received this email, that I c/p here in case it could be usefull for someone else :

" ..... The latest versions of Alchemy and its sound libraries don't require a serial number or keyfiles to be activated. The license information is stored in the preset / plugin files themselves, so the plugin can be installed offline without a problem, as long as the correct files have been downloaded first. This goes for installing on a new system too.

You can download your files for backing up without installing them, by setting the installer to 'Download Only' in the 'Preferences' tab.

The installer will check which complete .CamelSounds files are located in Downloads/Camel Audio (the 'Download Path' in 'Preferences'), and then give you the option to download any others.

In 'Offline Installation' mode (which will run if you use the installer without being connected to the internet or if the installer can't access our server), the installer will look in Downloads/Camel Audio for your backed up .CamelSounds files and will extract / install them.

There are detailed instructions linked below which will create a full backup for reinstallation in the future, but if you've any other questions about backing up, let us know.

Can anyone help.

I seem to have missed the cut off as I was out of the country on tour a lot the last couple of months.

I also just had to buy a new macbook pro to replace one of my old knackered ones.

Does anyone know if there is anyway to transfer all of my Camel Audio files from one computer to another?
I dont even seem to be able to find where they are. I spent a fortune on this stuff! :(

I wouldn't think so unfortunately.
