Two Aussie producers, Bruce and Ned, were polishing off the last couple of frosty tubes (Fozzies, of course) while listening to Ned's pet chipmunk playing on his synth. At that moment a kangaroo jumped up onto the porch, grabbed the beers and hopped away - boing, boing! As the chipmunk started to chase after it, screaming all the way, Bruce saw an opportunity and turned on his digital sound recorder.

rgc:audio produced several synths. After two triangles, a square and a pentagon, the next synth was to be an octagon but getting the two squares to phase align at 45 degrees proved impossible. Future development then moved to sampler technology.
