Hello,
I have used and loved slayer 2 for many years.
However neither refx or image line support it nymore.
Though it is stable now, it may be one host update from breaking.
I am wondering what amp sims do you know of that replicate its sound??
Thank you!

...other options (except perhaps xhum audio) might be only sample based electric guitar emulations

A real guitar.
If the sound you're aiming to achieve is just simple power chords (which can be learned very quickly), it makes more sense to invest in a cheap guitar+a cheap guitar interface, instead of a synth that produces a fake lame-ass sound, which almost costs as much. And maybe while learning to play, you even start to enjoy playing it. You don't even have to buy an amp simulation plugin, there are TONS out there for free.

I suppose I use it because of its synth sound as an effect on other synths. I considrted amp lion but it sounds harsh by comparison. ill try to post some sounds soon

make some impulse responses of your favourite sounds and load into a convolution plugin
