I grew up with Joy Division, so maybe I can help you out with the digital sound:

Peter Hook used a Precision Bass Copy and a Hi Watt Amp. On Digital, he didn't use his signature Chorus Sound. You could achieve this sound by dialing in a lot of Gain on the Amp (the british amps didn't distort so easily, but the sound on Digital has a slight distortion). And you should dial in a lot of mids. And a lot of the sound came through the playing style of Hook:

If you're interested in the equipment Joy Division used, check out this link:

Wife - Endings:
00:00 - 00:39: Sounds like Fender Jazz Bass, nothing special
00:40: Now the Bass sound is layered with a Bass Synth. Sounds like a simple Square Bass. You can achieve this with a soft synth. Just use a Square for the OSC. For Filter and Amp Envelope dial in no attack and sustain, and short decay and release. I wouldn't purchase a Kontakt Library for this, just download Synth1 (it's free). A friend of mine uses NanoStudio and there is a preset that sounds very similar.

As you where searching for Kontakt libraries: The Scarbee Series sounds quite good for Bass Guitars. I would use a Soft Amp on them like Amplitube
