The problem's most likely the new save/load preset handling code.
Everything work's OK for me in Orion and Reaper64 but I have no other way to beta test it.
It's really annoying that this doesn't work for you guys, so I've taken the link down until I have a stable version.
Sorry
Kirsty

C'mon Kirsty,
why shouldn't you have other ways to test XSRDO?
VSTHost is free and small and is used by many developers to initially test their VSTs.
Also energyXT in demo mode is small and portable and should be good enough for simple tests at least.
Both start up very quickly.
With simple tests I mean to at least check, if XSRDO can be loaded and if its GUI can be opened.
I have really good experience with debugging VSTs using VSTHost and energyXT.
You can get VSTHost here: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm
and energyXT 2.7 here: http://www.energy-xt.com/index.php?id=0201
Looking forward to new beta.

Why can't XSRDO have a GUI that can be re-sized ? not everyone can afford large monitors, I used to enjoy this plugin, but now for me it's basically of no use (1440x900 screen)
All is good

Kirsty,
If it helps, I will gladly undertake the testing under mulab:http://www.mutools.com/index.html.

I know, sorry, I guess I was just being lazy. I know there are many free demo hosts available out there to download but it's only the 3rd full plugin that I've ever made so I'm still very new to writing vst plugins and I really don't want to fill my hard drive up with load of demo versions that I will never use.ZonderP wrote:C'mon Kirsty,

I have Orion, Reaper 32/64 and now VSTHost.
Teacher to Kirsty. Must do better in class
Sorry Drew, I got carried away by my new big monitor.DrewDale wrote:Why can't XSRDO have a GUI that can be re-sized ? not everyone can afford large monitors, I used to enjoy this plugin, but now for me it's basically of no use (1440x900 screen)
After making many presets I find I only need about 15 to 20 'racks' so at some point I'll slim it all down by about 30%
Also, I have another cool idea (that I've not seen on any vst plugin before!) which will effect how the final GUI is handled
That's a very nice offer. Perhaps what I need is a small group of beta testers who don't mind testing each beta version before I release it to an unsuspecting world.lofasz wrote:Kirsty,

Anyway, I've uploaded v091.1 A bug fix. Triple tested on Orion, Reaper and VSTHost. For anyone brave enough see what you make of it.

Thanks Kirsty!
Bug fix version 091.1 now runs fine in energyXT2.
One thing occurred to me when I loaded preset 'Wavetable.prs'. A message displayed claiming it could not find the wavetable file '4x4.pwt' at a certain location (which I assume was the one on your system where you loaded the wavetable from before saving it).
The path to the wavetable currently is stored absolutely in the preset. Not sure how it should be at the end, but I guess relative would manage this situation better...

Re Wavetables. It's looking for my D:/ drive /XSRDO/ dev folder. I'll eventually make the paths relative as you suggest.
Thanks for your help

Hello Kirsty,
great Synth, love it.
But maybe i found a bug. In the Oscilatormodule, the sawwave behave like a sample without looppoints.
Is there a way to sync the clock to the hosttempo?
I use FLStudio 12.01

Can you elaborate on that please? All the waveforms are actually precomputed wavetables.ZXOxo67 wrote:Hello Kirsty,

Not in v091.1 but v092 has a new host BPM synced MIDI clock moduleZXOxo67 wrote:Is there a way to sync the clock to the hosttempo?

I will try. I setup a osc module an conected it. The sinewave and squarewave have no klicks and run continuesly. The saw ends after nealy two seconds, when i keep the Keyboard pressed, the saw have klicks like a unclean looped waveform. I have no filters or fx in the signalpath and no evelopes.(hope you understand strange english )kirsty roland wrote:Can you elaborate on that please? Updated to v092
Now with 50 modules
Control Menu
- Some useful 'value' options to quickly modify other stuff
MIDI Menu (new)
- MIDI host BPM clock (should sync to host tempo). Load preset 'Mr Jarre'.
- MIDI Controllers (cc16 ~ cc19) for hardware control of other modules.
- MIDI keyboard aftertouch. See preset 'Solo Brass'. AT adds vibrato.
Help
- On module 'quick' help guide provides a brief description of each module.
(turned off by default. Activate it from the 'XSRDO Patchwork Modular System' menu).
- Some more internal code optimizations.
