By fully functional demo I mean something along the lines of Amplitube 3 or Camel crusher. Im trying to save money to get some hardware units but im in real need of some reliable freeware effects units. Frohmage is another great example actually. In love with it !

Check out stillwell's stuff. Some really nice compressors and a few EQs. Fully functional demos with no expiration. They're reasonably priced as well if you do decide to go with them.

Have a look at the plug-ins offered every month with Computer Music magazine. You'll need to buy one (digital download) issue.
