Cheers guys, everyone up until this post is getting a copy sometime today and I'm going to leave room for 3 more posts/people after this one. I'm looking at exactly 25 PM's right now but closer to 30 people posting here, if you posted but didn't PM me please do so in order to save me time and so I don't miss you.
@penguinfromdeep - we're turning ourselves around slowly, our informal apology/karma thank you give back thread is at: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=426330 - so far the campaign and comeback are a slow transition however I'm humbled to be given a second chance and our new DAW (whenever it's finally ready) is hopefully going to turn heads for the better when we launch.
I'm going to be making a few more demos today, if anyone that gets one manages to produce some cool stuff please PM it to me and I may showcase it on the site as an example (soundcloud or youtube preferred).
Cheers,
N.

Everyone has been responded to .
*Interesting to note: Out of 30 or so people only 3 mac users, and about 5 didn't tell me their OS/bit so if I missed you or if you got a reply asking your OS/bit hollar and I'll take care of you.
If anyone has any problems with the DL's please let me know - I'm going to leave the links live for 24hrs.

just tried it on winxp sp3 x32
it keeps popping up a window with the serial already in it...
then it pops up another window that says "unable to load this instrument"
does this both in EXT2 and Savihost.
installed in a folder with path: X:\vst\synth\bassturbo
with the bassturbo.instruments folder in that path.
fail.

Where'd that exe. file come from? I have no such file, just the dll and data folder. BassTurbo works fine here on Win 7 x32 or Win 7 x64. Are you running the demo? Your serial # should be in the read me.layzer wrote:just tried it on winxp sp3 x32

OK I've had a few hours to check out Bass Turbo. I've come to the conclusion that Uhe , NI, among others, have nothing to fear from Dub Turbo. Bass Turbo is not the latest deep synth or rompler, but it's not trying to be. What it does it does well. Dope VST on the other hand best watch their back. Bass Turbo is like a combination of Bass Engine and Beat Machine and at half the cost (for now) than either one. First and foremost it is a lot of fun! I started messing around looked up and a few hours had passed. It's extremely easy to come up with beats. The samples are decent and the presets light the creative fires. Speaking of presets they load quickly enough that you could use BT for live performance. The sound shaping tools are slim but there's enough. The CPU hit is low so layering a bunch of instances is no problem. Besides bass and drums there are FX, Vox, and a few instruments. So Dope VST better guard your grill ... Bass Turbo has hit the streets!

Strange - is that .exe file something that gets generated from the standalone host or something? I've never really seen it setup like that.
The serial number = try pasting the serial in there that is provided vs the temp one that pops up. I just tried a fresh install 32bit in VSThost re a standalone host and it loads/unlocks fine.
If anyone else that has a 32 bit system can report on whether you're able to load it in your daw host vs a standlone vst host pls let me know.

the exe file IS savihost, a freeware standalone vst host program. thats the way it works.Karma_tba wrote:Where'd that exe. file come from? I have no such file, just the dll and data folder. you copy it into the vst folder and rename it to the DLL name.
see here: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/Savihost.htm
in my screen cap, i put the XXXX's over my serial number that ALREADY appears in the field everytime i
launch the vst. do you think i would be stupid enough to leave the serial# in the capture?
i have a feeling bassturbo is not compatible with windows XP. wish someone could verify this.
