These guys remind me of what's called the 'Nordic' Aliens.
Bieler must at some point have crossed into the mere mortals domain as he dated Anette Stai :D

Blues / Metal - utterly, utterly classic - Motorhead's cover of Louis, Louis
https://youtu.be/JyLEIoMSPIE

Progressive Rock - tricky choice but today it's Marillion's Gaza
https://youtu.be/Z5VKmyDEF6U

Jazz / Soul / something around those parts - again tricky to pick a favourite, particularly as I'm still exploring but well go with Kind Of Cool feat. Bella Wagner from Rhythm Is What Makes Jazz Jazz by The Bahama Soul Club

According to some, space aliens are doing genetic experiments mixing human genes with alien and one variation is the 'Nordic'.

Watch here at 1:50 and tell me the one on the rock is completely human.
this pseudo-science has always been much liked by the extreme right wing nutters, the very same ones who are super-worried about immigrants -- Well, "Nordic aliens", if they existed, would be totally ILLEGAL aliens on this planet, otherwise they wouldn't need to infiltrate so surreptitiously, so... GET OUT OF OUR PLANET, we Earthlings are very proud to have evolved here millions of years ago from the monkeys out of Africa!!! :x
Sorry for the off topic comment, but couldn't resist -- if this sparks further discussion, I hope the moderators don't send the whole thread to HPC, but only the off topic parts, including my comment -- Thanks. :-)

Those three tracks are the essence of my musical world. Not only musically, but they also carry a lot of memories of those golden times, feelings modern music just can't evoke in me...

I hope instrumentals are also allowed, I know song comes from singing... 8)

R&B (I suppose, the guy is not even black :D ):
What you won't do for love by Bobby Caldwell

Jazz/Fusion:
Summer Madness by Kool and the Gang

Brazilian:
Last Summer in Rio by Azymuth

like most people my choice would most likely be different every time you asked me.

these 3 tracks though are ones i consider to be absolute masterpieces. the music in these genres just does not get any better than this.
