Its not about looks, its about workflow and results. You don't need Serum but if you would like to make those types of sounds faster it can be beneficial to have as a tool. Again, everything is secondary to the end result, including how expensive or how cheap the tools you use.layzer wrote: best tools? more like most media hyped, buy this latest
gadget that does the same thing a gadget made 20 years
ago did except with a fancier look.
I can find a million people doing something wrong for any given topic, but that doesn't suddenly validate a point I have just because there are people out there doing it wrong.layzer wrote: and even better results because many sheep that buy that $500 stuff
don't know how to mix and master and end up with
music that sounds like it was made with the software synth built
into windows.
keep paying sucker....

Don't by alcohol or coffee for a month, and you'll have the funds for Serum. Sometimes when you want value, you have to give something of value in return.LocoMatt wrote:Hello, I'd like to ask is there any FREE synth like Serum? I really like how it uses wavetables (tested only demo) but it's too expensive for me (basicly everything is too expensive for me ).

Holy cow but is that thing buggy. It brings down powerful computers quickly. I changed one patch and it about destroyed Reaktor. Serious optimization is needed but there is a TON of potential there.V0rtex wrote:Hello,

I see some serious potential as well, but I'm awfully glad there are a ton of tutorial videos for this synth, I'm gonna need 'em!Chemik wrote:Holy cow but is that thing buggy.
