Thanks, but that link didn't work.
I still haven't bought it.
My wife is giving me the whining and moaning bit, but I'm workin her down, and hope it might be mine by next week.
$200usd. No damage, and in working condition too. :)

McNoone, sorry to raise an old thread from the dead, but did you finally get an An1x? $200 was a great deal I think. And, if you did, what can you say after trying it out in person?

(I am curious because I have one in the mail!)

I've had two of these. One when it first came out and rebought a yr ago. I think it sounds impressive even today, its capable of a wide range of sounds.
It has a nice tone, some plugins can get close to the same sound but the An1x seems to have something a bit more going on in the sound.

The AN1x yahoo group seems very active.

And jexus' odd video demo is what originally sparked my interest!

I wouldn't call the yahoo group very active, but at least it's not dead!
and I love all of jexus' videos!

Yes...some of the synth groups I belong to need to be on a monitor to detect a pulse. :hihi:

So...any suggestions for stimulating the enthusiasm of this new owner?

(By the way, Yamaha's free AN2015 IOS app also motivated my interest. It just had more sounds added since its release so I hope they continue to develop it.)

hmm, don't know..maybe download all the banks available at the yahoo group, especially JayB's work.
Just dig into the thing. I don't find programming it too difficult, that is, I can make my way around all of the knobs and buttons on the left. But I would have to do a refresher course in order to have anything to do with the stuff on the right; that's a shame, seems that's where a lot of fun setting up scenes, arps and sequences are.
Let's see, where did I put that manual?
Anyway, I love the AN1x, it sits right in front of me. When I'm not playing it's sounds I'm using it to control vst's.
