Pitchwheel alternative? Pitch shifters in general

I'm on the lookout for a really high quality realtime pitch shifter. I tried QuikQuak's recent pitchwheel which has a nice enough GUI and all but the quality just isn't there. I get ugly skipping and artifacts even with small amounts of shifting.
I'd like to get my hands on a transparent realtime shifter. I know most of the stuff out there is just meant to mangle audio, but maybe someone's bumped into something better? A little latency is ok. Just as long as it's a VST and I don't have to go to some standalone software to do offline processing.

Waves Soundshifter Pitch
It does well contain a fixed latency, about 0,5s ,which really messes up your whole project when you're pitchshifting in real-time in your DAW (I use Maschine 2.0)

To be honest, after having tried a bunch of plugins, I found QuikQuak's Pitchwheel to be quite good, and at least as good as anything else out there. But if you find something that works better, please post about it -- I'm always on the lookout for new options.
(I also like Soundtoys' Little Alterboy, but that was a free promotion for a while and is no longer available for the moment.)

PitchFunk is the highest quality option I've heard, and not only do you get the highest quality realtime pitch shifter, but alot of other functionality.
Have another pitch shifter and LFO tool? Sell them both because you can do the same thing with one plugin.

can't get Better than Melodyne, though its offline.
Well there is a plugin version but the way that it works is that u instantiate an instace, press play for your song and once it finished u press stop
Now u can pitch-shift to your heart's content

If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

yeah i saw that it was an old post but thought responding anyway.. share the bit of knowledge i had about this topic.
hehe :p
but guys! i do have a question to the users of QuiQuak Pitchwheel.
I use Maschine 2.0, and when i put the plug-in in the sound slot/insert point of e.g. a vocal loop
i get a high sawtooth squeaking noise when i'm done turning knobs on the plug-in and the sample stops playing..
the plug-in works well and i can automate 'n all, but i just get that sudden noise. it only appears when the Pitchwheel plug-in is there.

I have a friend that swears by this. Ive even seen an EDM guy using it to create or enhance a snare rise.nicolasvr wrote:Waves Soundshifter Pitch

I do't think it transforms the harmonics separately though, so it could get artificial the further you push it. Although, There is Ultrapitch that will adjust harmonics separately. It'll also allow you to create a chorus of people type effect and other voice effects. It comes as 3 versions, Shift (or Single Voice), 3 Voice and 6 Voice.
That's the other one i would suggest.
Wait for sales.

I personally love Uhbik-G for this. In "PhaseVoc" mode and highest quality, it does an awesome job on voices, bass, guitar and many other things. You get extremely rich tones for instance if you mix a bass guitar with some high spectrum content with one octave higher and one octave lower versions from Uhbik-G. Awesome for rich drones
Cheers,
Tom
