Looking at interchange formats between daws that contain as extended info about a project as possible.

Found that OMF is useless, not including midi - and at least half of a project nowadays are midi.

Is AAF any better?
Seems to allow for metadata of various kinds.

Is there any established standard to contain midi inside AAF?

Or is it doing midi through music xml in combination with OMF the best possible way?

Thanks.
