Hey Guys! So there's a Laser sound that a lot of producers are using, i did a mini mix with some songs that have the same laser sound (Ignore the shitty mix btw haha ) i think its in Nl Massive but im not sure, maybe its a sample pack.. producer like Knife party, Low Steppa and GTA are using it. Hope you guys help me on this one!

Use a synth with self oscillating filter, crank up the resonance (turn down the amp volume so you don't blast your speakers...), set oscillators to 0, activate filter keytracking, modulate the filter cutoff with a LFO with sawtooth wave, set the rate to taste and you got it. You can do that with pretty much any synth with self oscillating filter out there, you don't necessarily do it in Massive.

what do you mean with self oscillating filter? does Massive have that feature?chk071 wrote:Use a synth with self oscillating filter, crank up the resonance (turn down the amp volume so you don't blast your speakers...), set oscillators to 0, activate filter keytracking, modulate the filter cutoff with a LFO with sawtooth wave, set the rate to taste and you got it. I don't think Massive's filter can self-oscillate. You can get a similar effect though by modulating the pitch of a sine wave in the same way i described above. You could just use the free Charlatan or TAL-Noisemaker synths too though which both have self oscillating filters.
