So let's say somebody emigrating from India to UK, they become a Brit right?

Freddie Mercury grew up in India, but Wikipedia calls him a Brit:

well if its on wikipedia...

but as controlcentre points out, yes course you can change nationality but that doesnt change where youre from, as the saying gos "you can take the boy out of essex but you cant take the essex out of the boy" :hihi:

Indeed!
Gore's biological father was an African-American G.I. stationed in Britain. Gore was raised by his stepfather and biological mother. He believed his stepfather was his biological father until age thirteen. When he was 13, he learned that his biological father was an African-American serviceman and, as an adult, later met him in the American South.

I'd rather worry about his vocal skills... ;)

Don't get me wrong: Great artist. No question.

His vocals skills are great, just listen to Somebody, AQOL etc

Let's call it a draw ! :-)

I wouldn't say that "Somebody" is challenging...

Anyway, attended several DM concerts and never changed my opinion about his singing. Sorry.

His voice is indeed very good and suitable for some types of songs.

Must have been challenging for Mart, y'know he recorded the vocals naked (fact!)

No harder then working with midi. But these days most of us use Silent Way plugins and interfaces.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

There was an interview back in the day that said Martin Gore was an avid lurker on KVR and is addicted to buying any new vsti because of KVR fueled GAS
