Does anybody know how they created the kick and snare drum sound effect used in making the drum beat for Taylor Swift's Blank Space? It sounds like heavy reverb, but also very metallic, so maybe plate/spring reverb? I'm not getting it quite right. Thanks for your help!!
I have isolated the sounds from an instrumental mix. Does anybody know how to attach that to this post for reference?

Upload them somewhere (dropbox, soundcloud, etc) and post a link.tresenddrums wrote: I have isolated the sounds from an instrumental mix. Does anybody know how to attach that to this post for reference?

Actually fairly simple. A clean passage can be heard here:

The snare uses a reverb with a pre-delay (set up to a 16th to 8th note). You might try a plate reverb.
The acoustic kick uses a small room, turned up in terms of volume, but is gated.

Thanks for your responses! I'm definitely going to try what you suggest. Here are the layers they use from the song. I isolated them from an instrumental mix.

These effects are indeed metallic sounding rooms.
A plate might definitely be worth a try.
Unlike the position I chose, these are not with pre-delay or gated.
