I've been here too long, I just realized I read "producers" and immediately thought of electronic musicians.
Steve Lillywhite is a great producer. So is Jan Erik Kongshaug. Very dynamic, vibrant mixes.

Shpongle have a great way of making stuff sound alien and weird without being overtly obvious about it. I mean, they use stutter glitches and wotnot, but there's more going on than just that.

Ikonika has incredibly thick analogue-like textures in her music. Anything Post dubstep is going to have meticulous attention to detail too. Kimbie Blake Ikonika Kode 9. The sound work on the old r&b albums from the 90's is also quite interesting. The use of compression is dialled bak so you can really hear the bark on those funk samples
