I'm finally getting around to checking this Kontakt instrument out. Wow.

It's turning out to be pretty cool. Some of the other things that came with KU10 were a little lame, imo, but not this one. More tweedling to do....

It sounds great, very original, unusual and is fun to play with but I find very challeging to use it in real tracks.

You may have a point there. Fortunately, I've been mostly into ambient-ish stuff as of late, so I can work this kind of thing in. Anything less psychedelic with a more traditional arrangement might be a challenge.

If you into ambient music you should check Hollow Sun Alien Devices, http://www.hollowsun.com/HS2/alien_devices/index.htm and probably other Kontakt libraries from this guy. They are awesome!

Well, now you've done. That looks like some cool stuff. The wheels are turning now...

Is it hard to fit in a mix just because the sounds are 'weird', or because they are not sitting right sonically somehow?

Either way, I guess. :)
Everyone loves this thing. I will have to check it out.

For me it's hard to find a complimentary sounds that will fit "naturally" with Kinetic Metal sounding. Probably because my mixes of different genres :borg:

Pretty sure this is an extra, not part of Komplete 10

No, I'm certain it's new to Kontakt 10 U. I've never bought any of the extras. 8)

Totally love Kinetic Metal. The GUI is brilliant.

I agree. It really is cool. Not just eye candy but functionally cool as well.

It's definitely cool. It's kind of a one-trick pony in terms of sound, but it plays that trick well.

I like it.
Thought about buying it for a while. Now it's part of my latest purchase Komplete 10 Ultimate.
Very unique sounds, a lot of movement, but many of them are very similar like foosnark said.
So :tu: but a little bit too expensive actually.

I create ambient, dark ambient, and soundscape and I've found Kinetic Metal to be a very useful library. But yeah.. for "normal" use (whatever THAT means) it'd be a tough sell.

Love mine though! :phones:
