Probably wait a little and get new AKAI ADVANCE keyboard. Looks very promising.

Also why 49 keys? Here's my experience - at first I also bought a 49 keys keyboard but later I understood it's better to have a 24 keys for some quick playing, save desk space or when you need a mobile device and full 61 keys for serious things. When I started to heavy use KONTAKT libraries it was awkward and sometimes unusable with 49 keys.

I highly recommend the keyboards from Nektar...

I use a P6 and love it and I would recommend any of their keyboards. Solid and afforable, great customer support.
What more could you want.

you could try my a-300 pro script, check out the defined CC numbers in the script and set up your axiom according to that. Or use toms midi learn script. I once had an axiom btw, and it just stopped working after two years just placed on my table, also the encoders do have detents, and i never liked that. Wouldn't recommend any m-audio stuff anymore personally.turbo_kev wrote:now we just need a script for the axiom pro 49 for bitwig studio
so we can use the transport controls, mapping the knobs and faders works
perfectly
cheers
kev
Best to check out key in a shop to see wich kind of keys do fit your needs. I really like the keys on the cakewalk A pro line, just the aftertouch isn't perfect.
cheers
edit: and there is this one: http://www.bitwig.com/en/community/cont ... om-25.html
should give you your transport/encoders/pads, faders are easy to program..

The Advance looks really cool. I just compared the Advance 25 with other 25's from Akai. But I don't get it, why the price point diff?mebaru wrote:Probably wait a little and get new AKAI ADVANCE keyboard. Looks very promising.

- Advance 25 $399
- MPK25 $199
- MPK225 $249
They all have semi-weighted keys, 25 keys, USB and MINI in/out. Thats a huge jump in price just for colorful lights. WTH Akai!?

Well it has a much more expensive screen and the software integration is what really costs R&D.
Still I dont like their "solution".

Well, it's a new product and it has advanced features compared to other models. Just FYI, MPK25 also was priced around $400 sometime ago.telecode wrote: The Advance looks really cool. I just compared the Advance 25 with other 25's from Akai. But I don't get it, why the price point diff?
