So, word on the street is that there's an iPad "Patch Morpher" app that includes a full editor for the KingKORG. If any of you are familiar with the KingKORG, the UI goes from good to bad in a hurry. I've got an iPad Air (first gen) and I'd like to get it up and running to do some MIDI stuff. Can anyone recommend a good but basic MIDI interface for it?

That one is 30pin so would need an adapter to work with your Air.

This one would probably be better.

I see these in thrift stores frequently for a few bucks and have several as backups.

It works great as long as you have an Apple lightning to usb.

Surely, the the simplest option would be to connect the KingKorg directly with a USB cable via an Apple lightning to USB camera adapter - no need for a USB to MIDI interface, unless you have other gear that's only 5-pin MIDI you want to connect.

I believe that's the connection going on here: https://youtu.be/denftoQGdNQ

Unless, I'm missing something here?

This works on an iPad Air - it has a 30-pin cable which I *don't* use - I use a lightning-to-USB adapter plus a cable that hooks up to an external supply, the iPad, and the iUR2 -

I bought (3) of these from Musiciansfriend for a great price -

This what you need? Midimux and Audiomux have been out for Macs but the developer just released a Windows version today for Midimux. Audiomux for Windows should come soon.

I bought it but haven't installed it yet so can make no recommendation. :ud:

What is the magic cable that "hooks up to an external supply, ipAd and iu2"
