I think Misa Digital might just have the bass model available now.
I also have my eye on the You Rock-cheapness aside-it is the only flat neck around.

Have you played one? (YRG) I have.
The strings are like dental floss making good contact for barre or even partial barre impossible. The neck is fatter then fat. There are effectively three velocity levels hard medium and hammer on. One cannot slide in guitar mode. In tap mode all velocity goes out the window. The string sensors are extremely shoddily made. And there is that whole customer support by intimidation.

Yeah, the you rock is definitely cheap, I don't use velocity. My thing is playing so fast that people nearly pass out-that's where the neck comes in-
I had one before and found it uncomfortable to play, but I'd like to play one in person to make sure.

I'm faster on both ztars then was the case for the yrg, Older z6 strings were kind of a pain. After 2007 they (string triggers) vastly improved. Key triggers ala babyz or even possibly artiphon are actually faster then string triggers once you get used to them. All that being said I tap everything on ztars these days. More possibilites, faster playing,
I've given all that a break in recent times. After I got my jazz boxes all I want to do is play jazz guitar on a jazz guitar and am quite happy with that.

The You Rock does at least sorta look nice. I love my Rock Band Mustang, but would someone go to a huge stadium for an orchestra concert and watch them play Casios they bought at Toys r us before the show lol.
Its like who's the audience me or them, he didn't even bring any gear to the show....

I guess we are going to have to agree that we disagree on that one. I find the yrg neither nice to look at nor an authentic looking guitar. As well "looking like a guitar" has less value to me then playability to full midi capabilities.

Actually I appreciate these comments, I want it to look good to others....
hmm, what are the options? Expensive stuff will make me look the part of a good musician, sure, but who knows whats what that is watching.....??
I don't play piano...
You make good points-full midi capability instrument!

I would say put your money into a MIDI keyboard and learn to play it. There are many times I've considered a MIDI guitar, but I doubt I would use it anywhere near as much as keyboards (and I play guitar very well).

A Ztar is probably what I will get, what do you think looks better, the strat body-z6 or the bodyless-z7?
Probably the standard style body, wouldn't you agree?
hmmm, I think I'd use it with hardware, my midi arpeggiator effects are cool, but I can make anything work. A computer live is risky.

This is doing my head in. It's way too expensive, let's just say no one has my name right so I'm not wanting a discount.
The audience is too picky. There isn't much advancement in this field.

My 2 cents. I bought a baby-z and instantly regretted it. The construction of the whole unit was off.. the pots did not line up correctly thought were difficult to turn and right hand triggers "strings" never worked properly to "strum". The high G note on the 3rd fret plays also plays the 5th below I sent it back and was told it was fine and there was no problem. On the other hand the left hand tapping works fine.. as long as I avoid that G note. Again that's just my 2 cents. I know others have it and it works fine.. based on videos I have seen. Mine , not so much.
