I want to study about leaving snare off in tracks. Name your favorite electronic tracks that have no snares, or really minimal at weird positions. What you think about my opinion that snares on 2 and 4 that are so popular can actually destroy the flow of a track but they are almost everywhere?

And I think this song could work without it too...it's one of the best songs I can think of:

seriously now... methinks the 'groove' is accomplished (or not) by what happens between the beats. some 4x4 can sound very 'wooden', while the best of it has a great 'flow' or 'groove'. it's mostly about how the percussion parts 'line up' sometimes it's really 'organic', other times it's really 'fake'. ymmv
