Thanks for all the offers UVI.
But , no thanks.
Not as long as you stick with ilock and iLicenser.
But, send me a note whenever you change your licensing system.

You don't need the dongle anymore, you can authorize UVI products without a dongle on three different computer'ssfd wrote:Not as long as you stick with ilock and iLicenser.
Not the worst copy protection, not like Arturia's

Yet again, the problem with iLok is the software it runs,
regardless of whether it uses their dongle or not.
Kill that intrusive system parasite and I'll take another look at UVI too.

You're talking about Arturia's new system? I actually purchased an Arturia product because they switched to the new system.Numanoid wrote:You don't need the dongle anymore, you can authorize UVI products without a dongle on three different computer'ssfd wrote:Not as long as you stick with ilock and iLicenser.

Running iLok here without issues for quite some time now. No issues with UVI, Softube, MachFive 3, not a single one. iLok drivers didn't slow down my system at all, or influence anything else. It works as it should.BBFG# wrote:Yet again, the problem with iLok is the software it runs,

I wonder if OP will come back, admit he was wrong, and correct his statement?

for some people (like me) its the principle more than concern about the system (though there is that). its adding a completely unnecessary (for the functioning of the product) layer that introduces potential problems. it serves zero benefit to the user and under the very best circumstances, does nothing at all.EvilDragon wrote:Running iLok here without issues for quite some time now. You know a mosquito doesn't eat much either.
But the majority of people will kill it anyway.
Parasites operate in a specific manner to their host.
And iLok software fits this description.

Using iLok and eLicenser on my system, I prefer my authorisations on the dongle that means I can have a Hard disk go down or a computer go down and just move to another computer.
No issues as far me noticing any slowing of system down or lost AU's have been caused by iLok or eLicenser.. Doesn't seem to use any CPU or take up any ram.. Been using it for 16 months now..
It's okay you don't like it, you don't use it.

It's nice it works for you.
But for me PACE is a no-go.
Witch makes UVI a no-go.
At least as long as they don't provide any alternatives to PACE.

Exactly...so much easier to reinstall plugins with ilok...no more need for finding and typing serials...at first I didn't like it but now I prefer it over all other copy protections...TwoToneshuzz wrote:Using iLok and eLicenser on my system, I prefer my authorisations on the dongle that means I can have a Hard disk go down or a computer go down and just move to another computer.
