Whilst doing something else I think I found it:Tjgoa wrote:When you create a project inside omnisphere to recall presets where are they kept on the hardrive? In the patch browser there is an option to create projects to save patches in then and option to show projects right. I transferred systems but the created projects are no way to be found. Sorry for the thread highjack but maybe someone can help me real quick.
Stem/Omnisphere/SettingsLibrary/Patches/Projects
I think they're stored there in prt_omn.index.
Probably waaaay too late to be of any use, but for future reference..

Do we know if there will be compatibility between patches made for Omnisphere 1 and Omnisphere 2?
I just hope that this will not be as per Iris 2...

This is spectrasonics not izotope. Big difference. To answer your question: Of Course
High Quality Soundsets for Lush-101 | Hive | Electra 2 | Diversion | Halion | Largo | Rapid | Dune II | Thorn | and more.

Tweeted today by Spectrasonics:
@Spectrasonics: GEEK SPECS - Total of 2,150 brand new Soundsources in Omnisphere 2. It's 37gb of uncompressed new audio (Lossless size will be about 17gb)
Since the soundsources make up the vast majority of the total size, that's looking like 17-18gb tops of new space needed, which is up some on the first quoted figure of 13gb. Not that anyone will be complaining...

Why does it have to take up so much extra space?noiseboyuk wrote: that's looking like 17-18gb tops of new space needed, which is up some on the first quoted figure of 13gb. Not that anyone will be complaining...
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Akai VIP = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

What i want to know is if i can make a seamless loop out of my own samples so that i can make clippless loops even from one shot sounds. And it would be nice if i could control the amount of the blend between start and end.

Not complaining, but just asking: What does this mean in practical terms? If, for example, there is a new instrument that is sampled and mapped, and 100 unique samples are required to map it across the keyboard, etc., does that count as 1 soundsource or 100?noiseboyuk wrote:Tweeted today by Spectrasonics:

Sound sources range from a single sound file to multi-samples so 1 soundsource could be a multi-sampled round robin instrument for example with lots of audio, or it could be a single audio file (which I'm sure there are lots of in V2 like the phrases for granular).BERFAB wrote:Not complaining, but just asking: What does this mean in practical terms? It would be insane for it not to be since it's sold on the basis of its presets.
But then, to a large extent, so was Iris 1.

Today's Twitter fun - the cute box

Also the implication is there might well be a pure D/L version too for new customers.

Did anyone notice in one of the videos showing the big lists of wavetables that there was a whole section devoted to analog synth models? Stuff like the 303 square and 303 saw were separate wavetables. Since all the wavetables are morphing wavetables, I wonder what these do as far as morphing? I'm surprised the 303 square and saw wouldn't be in the same morphable wavetable.
