So is there a better solution than Arturia Brass?

Post

This is popular: http://www.samplemodeling.com/en/products.php.
(it's not REALLY physical modeling but sounds pretty good)

If you have NI Reaktor, Chet Singer has made some good sounding ensembles:

There's the original Yamaha hardware (VL-1, VL70m plus a couple others, including a software version in the S-YXG50 that only runs on windows98). I think the Alesis Fusion is supposed to have a model but I have no idea if it's good. Same for the Korg Z1.

Maybe LinPlug's SaxLab?

Saxlab is only sax - I wanna find similar to arturia brass and Wivi,
where you can position more trumpets, saxs in a room or you can just play a trumpet....
Still it seems to me Wivi is interesting, But Arturia Brass is the best.

I have wivi band. I've owned it for a year and I have to say it sounds good and it's fairly easy to use. You have to either play it in or edit the midi cc messages, but it sounds good. It sounds better than what I heard from Arturia, but that's just my opinion.

I've been interested in finding a physical modelled brass for awhile, but when I listen to examples of whats out there, I find I have an issue with missing high frequency content in the sounds, the liveliness just seems to be missing.

Seems to me the best, closest attempt would be the Samplemodeled versions.. Combining real samples and modelling technollgy.

For my sake I thought the new Brass library called Session Horns Pro from NI would fit my needs. Sample based but with crazily detailed scripting so it's extremely playable and realistic..

Additionally either a Vienna Symphonic brass or a Chirs Hein Brass library. In combination with these a modeled brass from Samplemodeling.. but this first when they update to their newer proprietary platform.
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.
