I'm kinda new to this, but getting there.
I'd love to Know how to Recreate ( as best I can) the bassline from a this Larry Heard track - @Can U Feel It'.

I read an interview with him a while back where he said he uses the Yamaha DX7 on pretty much every track he makes. So I tried emulating the sound with Dexed, but no joy.
Has anyone come close to getting this sound or now how to do so with a VST?

However, it sounds as though it should be possible with a DX synth as it's strongly reminiscent of the kind of 'woody donk' sound you can get out of them. So I wouldn't be surprised if he's recreated later for live using one.
