Midi VST Plugin to Change Midi Polyphony? Monophonic Midi-Out?

im trying to create a custom Ableton Live channel strip which will allow me to do fast midi rolls to control things like trap hi hats using multiple arpeggiators with different speeds triggered by pressing different midi notes.

Long story short, I have everything working, the only thing that presents a problem is the fact that if i play two notes at the same time, even lets say, overlapping by accident in a transition between two notes, my arpeggiators overlap and it sounds funky..

What im looking for is any kind of midi effect which can turn my midi keyboard input into a monophonic signal and then be able to output that midi as a monophonic signal.. kind of liek when you turn the polyphony of a synth down to 1... i heard that Audiorealism bassline can output its midi and if you turn on its monophonic option, it outputs a monophonic midi signal... however, i dont want to pay money to get some bassline plugin that i dont need and use all that cpu power to run it just to get mono midi output..

is there any other plugin you guys are aware of which is either specifically designed for this, or has some sort of function which will allow this to happen? like lets say for example a midi arpeggiator where you can turn off the arpeggiation function and it stays mono or something..

I really am looking for something thats free and very light in cpu

I tried to make it myself in synthedit but for some reason i get no midi output signal

please throw me some suggestions..

Maybe midiNoteGroups can help you.
A fast read it seems you can make a group that is the full keyboard range.

"##: ChokeGroup - When receiving any note assigned to this group, any other playing notes in the group will
end. If any notes are in the same play and choke groups, they will be ended first and then immediately
retriggered"

and

"Note ## - Choices: Select a MIDI note (0-127)
o Set to "Off" to disable the slot, or
o Set to "Learn Next" to use the next recieved MIDI note as the selected note"

and having learn next on, all other notes will end as I read it.

Otherwise take a look at BluecatAudio Plug'n Script - which is a scripting language that have some to start with for midi processing. Don't know if there is a mono one - but maybe one can be modified to your needs.

-here is one I made with Synthedit, I think to do it in SE you need the CK Polyphony module, it does work with that one.
