Hi guys I’m looking for a plugin that can rise pitches of audio & midi to create buildups.

I’ve seen Nicky Romero mention one called ‘’Pitchwheel’’ from QuikQuak in the youtube video ‘’Nicky Romero creating Toulouse In The Studio’’ of Future Music Magazine…

Is this one good, or are there better plugins?

Thanks! :tu:

There are a lot of plug-ins people using for such effects. I use sometimes Vengeance Glitch Bitch but also typical tape stop effects can be used (eg. like Vengeance Tape Stop). Sugarbytes stuff is also used very often but this effects can do a lot more...

QuikQuak's Pitchwheel (and their other stuff, too) is nice.

Vengeance's FX Bundle 2 has two nice ones:
Pitch Shifter (granular based pitch shifter with feedback)
Smear Shifter (FFT based multiband pitch shifter & chorus fx)
Requires eLicenser dongle tho.

Try melda multiband Harmonizer or melda granulator. They can bake those typs of sounds out of pretty much any source. I generally wouldn't run my drums through the processor along with the rest of the riser. You could try a bit of modulation with a flanger or phaser on the drums and then run the background sweep/ synth sound through the pitch plugins. I would also recommend adding a flexible filter into the chain with the pitch plugin.
