not quite sidechaining a specific range but it's sidechaining a filter instead of compressing the bass: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9&t=427617
i'm pretty sure with a couple of bandpasses, a compressor, and a lot of duct tape I could make this work for specific frequencies. (Might have to find a multi out VST that splits the frequencies to different outputs though)

You can get very specific by using Blue Cat's MB-7 Mixer along with LFOTool. Sidechain or duck a frequency range or multiple in very different ways. Maximum flexibility.

If you're using Reaper by chance there's paramter modulation (basically same functionality as FL's peak controller).
On this one the external SC can be used band-specific (and it's free )

I believe Pro-C allows you to listen on certain frequencies of the sidechain input, but not actually duck certain frequencies - which I think is what the OP was asking.vata44 wrote:fabfilter c
Having said that, I know FabFilter's Pro-MB does allow for ducking of the different frequency bands.
