Last week I bought a Fender DG60CE Cutaway Electro Acoustic Guitar, and would like advice on a capo.
I've seen this one and want to know would it be suitable for my guitar:
Shubb Deluxe Guitar Capo
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shubb-S1-Deluxe ... shubb+capo
Because it's a Electro Acoustic Guitar, is their a way to dampen the sound when practicing, would a
Soundhole Cover help, or is this just for feedback issues.

It sounds like you have totally the wrong idea of what a capo is for.

capos are just for tuning up/down. the shubb is a pretty good one. i have a kyser and it's probably a little faster to change though. but not what you described at all.
if you want dampening... some bassists used to shove felt under the strings right near the bridge to make their electrics sound more acoustic, so maybe something similar would accomplish what you want. soft foam should work too. you might need to try different things, thicknesses, etc to get the right amount of dampening though.

This capo is the best out there in my opinion.
Looks good, solidly built and works seamlessly.

I second this one as I have the same. Life long warranty and very friendly support (Like you would need it... Still, nice personal touch to the conversation). Little expensive though but it's a one-time expense...Armadillosound wrote:This capo is the best out there in my opinion.

For dampening the sound: Like in a piano people put blankets in it. Might want to try the same (some sort of cloth) that you can easily put in and pull out of your soundhole. Also (if thus suits your style) drop the plectrum and use your fingers and/or simulate a plectrum with your nails.

Any capo will work ... nothing special about the neck on a electro -acoustic.
