The internet is not a loop, it is a midi clip. I suppose you could loop THAT, but it doesn't produce sound on its own.

"ad hominem" means 'at the man' or less genderized, 'at the person'. In terms of something to avoid in discourse, even using the Latin refers to 'argumentum ad hominem', which is an 'informal' fallacy (rather than a fallacy of form) to indicate that what someone did was, instead of dealing with the point of argument, deals with the person: "Your argument is dismissed because of who you are as a person." essentially.
Someone thought what you said was high-handed; 'get off your high horse' is an opinion about how you were in that post, as I read it.
It seems like nowadays, more people do 'ad hominem attack!' as the other side of the coin of that very fallacy, you are doing that instead of defending your point.
But the whole thread is so baiting of flames in the first place. And saying you aren't offering advice on the thing is itelf offering advice on the thing, only totally pagro.
