as you mention sysex 2-way communication, eg: retrieve patch for editing
the D-110 works this way, with the free editors, and, i think, with the
PG-10 controller (for D-10/D-20/D-110). i think it was the first time they
used the checksum.
the D-110 will be almost identical in terms of address structure.

Hello, friends!
I updated JV-1080 Editor on my site.
It has only patch editor now, but available receive params by bulk dump from current patch.
And You can save your cards settings and your devices to text file.
Please try if you have a time.

I updated JV-1080 Editor on my site.

This ver. can catch params by bulk dump message.

Let me say many thanks for building the editor! I love working with it to edit patches on my jv1080.
I'm having trouble with the "capture" feature. I get the following error:
"Didn't receive common"
"Didn't receive tone1"
"Didn't receive tone2"
"Didn't receive tone3"
"Didn't receive tone4"
Is there something special that I need to do to get this to work?

So this needs max.. I have max 4 live installed but i plan on selling live suite..
Does just having the demo of normal max app installed, enough to run this sort of thing? I see quite a few HW editors using max.
