Haunted Jukebox, algorithmic abstract groove generator for Kontakt is now available. If you like exploring machine generated music it can be fun. It's made in Kontakt 4 script, but it's not quite about samples, so I'm posting it in instruments. The machine looks like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Yjrrnj0A2c
It's not quite a playable instrument, as it doesn't take notes as input, you manipulate switches and the machine plays sounds as it sees fit. There are free versions and a what you think it's worth version, which has access to configuration menus.

All the time I was watching your video, I kept reaching for my mouse to make adjustments! Looks good. And sounds good too!Zombie Queen wrote:I'm testing (yet another) experimental noise making automaton I assembled in Kontakt. It's a kind of drum machine

I know, I have a weakness for picking names that don't quite make sense in English and sticking to them.bftucker wrote:"Little Chop of Noises?"

Maybe "Haunted Jukebox" fits better as a name for the machine... still tinkering with it, now trying out different setups with Kontakt's stock samples...

I was playing with the Arctic Rooster today and thinking it was odd that you hadn't released any twisted noise makers lately.
I guess it really is a holiday.
Not sure whats going on with your "Jukebox" but I really like the GUI. Glad to see your back at it.

Jukebox, because you don't play it, you select a track and press play, it's what jukeboxes do. In this one you pick a number, (those big pads will switch single bits) and it will generate grooves, modulation sequences and pick sounds.

A quick demo, minimal noise set (grab right here, if you like), playing back Garbage Paradise pattern (see picture) at 110 BPM, fiddling with knobs and switches...
