Make sure you have the sounds update that was released which includes updates to the solo vocals. If you still don't like them, there's always the popular and well-recieved Pianos, Organs, Loops, Drums, Bass, reworked Miroslav Philharmonik stuff with articulations that bring the playability to a new level (and which sound great in ST3 by taking advantage of the new features, effects etc), Pads and Leads, Synth Bass, Ethnic, etc.

Just checked the upgrade price, there's no way I'm paying $199. I'll just wait for Kontakt go on sale. If I'm going to spend 200 bucks might as well try something new. Been with IK since ST2 and I don't see much difference except for ST3 being 64-bit. The sounds are good but not good enough for the price IMO.

Shame that you did not pick it up in the Pre-Release period - it was cheaper then.

Also, for other readers: v3.3 and a Sound library update is now available in your User Area.

Changes from version 3.0.3:

▪ Introduces Pad interface which lets users assign Parts to Pads and launch patterns, loops or single notes seamlessly from iRig Pads or any MIDI controller
▪ Full integration with iRig Pads, IK's new MIDI groove controller. Allows for dynamic mapping and advanced remote features with the standalone version
▪ New groove sound library, The Grid, available free to all registered users of iRig Pads and also in the IK Online Store
▪ MIDI Remote Settings let you use an external MIDI controller to browse instruments and patterns, trigger Global Play and also select Parts and pads without ever touching the mouse
▪ Loop Instruments now list each individual audio loop under the Pattern tab. This lets you more quickly find specific loops within each construction kit Instrument. Any assigned MIDI Patterns for the Part now appear below the list of audio loops

Still one instance alone eats alot of RAM and still no Keyzone view option by default,no drag and drop, come on IK

Why do I have 2 "imported instruments" folders in ST3? One is full of my imported instruments and one is empty. I've checked in /users/shared/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 3 but there is only one folder present (the one in use). How can I get rid of this random empty folder?

I must also say that the whole installation process was crap. It took me several attempts to successfully install the ST3 library, and for it to locate it and/or build the library correctly (without missing samples). Also I'm still not sure it's right, as I have lots of random (empty) folders sitting under the multi/instrument library content.

And why do you only let us download the product/samples for 180 days after purchase. Do I really have to keep Gigabites of backed up ST3 installation files/sounds on my hard-drive in case I ever want to install it again? Surely wouldn't hurt to let us redownload in 1, 2, 3 years.

On a plus note, SampleTank 3 sounds great!
