INTRODUCTION
Hi friends,
I want to introduce my new piano library.
Gran Coda is a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt that offers you a stunning detailed experience of a real Concert Piano.
Sampled from a real Steinway & Sons concert piano, immediately after an accurate tuning operation.
The sound is extremely clear, dynamic and realistic, thanks to the sampling of all the sound details with very hi-sense microphones.

INTERFACE (Developed by Divergent Audio Group)

I bought it and gave it a quick play, here's some thoughts:

It sounds really good to my ears. I already have some great pianos but I felt like they were sort of one-trick-ponies. I think this could be used to almost anything, and the sound is fantastic.

There's some problems outside of the samples though. When playing with the pedal pressed down, the amount of simultaneous voices quickly ramps up to hundreds. This makes my computer, and I'd imagine any other computer choke pretty quickly. Perhaps this could be helped with ending the playback of some voices past 50-100 as new ones are being played?

Just a friendly notion, the quality of the UI doesn't seem to match the quality of the instrument. The colors are kind of displeasing on the upper panel, and the image of the piano would look much, much better if it was simply plain white, for example. I think you guys use that font in other products as well, but it adds to the cheap-ish look as well, at least on this UI.

Hi updog,
thanks for your report. We're working now trying to reduce the polyphony consumption and the CPU usage without compromise the sound quality.

Meanwhile, we have released a small update that fixes some other small issues reported by other users. Of course, all the updates are totally free.

I report here the Update 1 changelog and the link to download the update.

*** UPDATE 1 Changelog ***
- Fixed the loud "bump" verified in some machines when opening the 'Gran Coda On Stage' preset
- The new UI has different and more pleasant colors
- Fixed the issue on the 'Gran Upright' about the high notes with no damper that weren't in the correct octave
- Fixed the "extra-octave-keyoff" for the 'Gran Fortepiano' preset
