I've been playing around with JUCE and STK and came up with something I call "TuneRacoon". You can get it here: http://www.imekon.org/TuneRacoon03.zip
It's a groovebox with some ideas of my own - the scale and mode are set, so any notes you set with the sliders are "in tune".
The whole thing is synthesized, drums etc. I use STK for the synthesis engine, with one completely custom echo effect.
TuneRacoon is not a host nor is it a plugin; it's completely standalone on Windows.

It has one "multi oscillator" with a sine, saw and square component, ADSR enveloper, multi filter (lowpass, highpass and bandpass), a filter ADSR envelope and an echo.
Each drum part is a combined noise and sinewave, again with ADSR, filter and filter ADSR.
There's a picture here:

How about using some of the physical modelling stuff from STK
Amazon: why not use an alternative

It's cool, would be good if it already had presets(mainly for the drum sounds). When you load it up, it's screaming white noise.

I've switched the pattern to just the "bass" drum, and I'll start sorting out some presets next.
I'm looking at a VSTi, at the moment the synth part (not drums or sequencer). JUCE makes it incredibly easy.
Also writing a web page on the sequencer.

I'm having a go at a modular version. Should help with adding custom stuff without running out of room!
