Man, this one took 5 years to release:
http://arithmetric.bandcamp.com/
Lots of metric shifts throughout (see the liner notes), and a peculiar compositional ethos of writing specifically for the Rock Band game "5-lane" notation. (Also, bonus vocaloid usage, if you're into that.)
I mostly rode "production shotgun" on this (critical listening, well-considered suggestions, occasional performances, general cheerleading), it being the brainchild of the brilliant Sean Barrett. Still, for not doing much heavy lifting myself, I'm very proud to have nudged this along to eventual completion.
Listen, enjoy,
- m
P.S. - My indie rock thing, The James Rocket (see signature), also continues. New album early 2015, hopefully.

I've just played the first three tracks. It really made me think that Gentle Giant had reformed, with the guitars, organs, the oddball timesigs, and especially the vocals on "Year After Month After Day". It all seems to romp along very smoothly. Great production too.
Good work

Thanks! Also had a Gentle Giant reference dropped about another project of mine. Seems to be an undercurrent in things that appeal to me, despite not having listened to the actual band.

Congratulations !
Nicely done, I enjoyed it so far.
I'd listen to it again (hopefully at home...)
Cheers

Very odd. The tracks seem to have no content and just keep stepping round
I've had this before with Bandcamp. Never did work out what the problem was.

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

whoo, what a fortune of ideas!
Congrats on the release. Like as I'm listening now "Year After Month After Day" and now "Stealing Stills of Orson Welles" -> this is really great.
Stuff well worth to listen often to discover all the details. Real Prog/ArtRock! Respect to you guys.

Love language of "Moto Perpetuo ...".
A lot of work's done!
Drums should be louder (IMHO).

Oh wow, thanks for the listens!
@folderol: I dunno, do you have some sort of NoScript plugin running on your browser, or a 'click to play' restriction enabled?
@sfiks: It was a fight to focus on what instruments were important on Moto, which was mainly the guitar vs keys. Since the guitar was already keeping the time with a metronomic 16th note stream, the drums were pushed back into a role of punctuation and accents. Perhaps a bit too far, then? A matter of taste, I suppose. I think they pop out a little more on headphones, at least.
Good to hear there's still a following for this kind of music!
Cheers,
