OK this pace of new stuff appearing is very encouraging. so far it's stuff i have no interest in (aside from maybe the semi-hollow ACT stuff), but it's a good start.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

There is a read me that basically says "don't mess with this" so I was worried about doing that. Not so much for this computer, but the one I'd be transferring to.Jacare wrote:Have you tried copying the preset folder?hibidy wrote:Anyone know how to transfer presets from one computer to another?

You can copy the whole folder and paste on the other computer. No problem should come from that.

Jacare, I just picked up the whole Producer Package plus some extras before you made these new releases. I wished I had waited a day longer to decide so I could have done everything at once...
Can you please time me what the difference between the Flathill 4x12 and studio version is? I'm a bit perplexed... the angled version is obvious but otherwise...is the flathill 4x12 supposed to be a traditional size?
Also, the biggest draw was from the samples the cabs seemed to be quite good. I know you can't give away the proprietary secrets of what is supposed under the hood but how are these more dynamic than regular cab IRs? I understand that others try to create a link between the power cab section and the cab impulse itself.
I am curious if it's necessary to play a revalver head through a revalver cab to get this effect or if I could use another third party amp vst or real head through the cabs and still get the dynamic response...

The Flathill Studio is a newer, straight recto cab, that when captured using our cutting edge RIR 2 process, we noticed had a distinctly different response to the original, older and more worn in Flathill cab (cabinet responses and tonalities change over time of course). Also, we captured two separate speakers and many more mic positions allowing for more tonal flexibility whilst keeping the popular original that is used in many presets.
The RIR2 module interacts with the R4 amps, making it more dynamic and responsive. If you use a 3rd party impulse loader (or even RIR), this information is not present and therefore you loose the effects of this interaction (not that it will necessarily sound bad). The same would happen if you load a 3rd party amp sim before RIR2, it would not have the same effect as loading a R4 amp + RIR2, making the later the ideal setup to get the best experience of this ReValver 4 feature. Of course, you can try different setups and see what works for you. You see, of all the cabinet impedance interaction options (right click on the amp, last option in the menu) the 'correct' one is "Compressed bass, smooth high end", but I prefer an 'incorrect' or 'less correct' one: "Compressed bass, clear high end".

Thanks, Jacare. Bought the new library. To be clear, I like the product so far. Just hate the licensing. Hoping we will find out what the extra heads are soonish. Take care.

Hi Jacare,
Any updates on when we'll actually get some new Revalver 4 amps? It would be nice to get some more high gain amps to play like a Soldano SLO, JCM 800, or some of the more boutiquey amps like Rivera, Framus, and Bogner
