That it's not being developed any further?
I wish it were as it had the potential to be a really good lightweight DAW, but it feels like it's nowhere near being a priority for Jorgen anymore.

Numanoid,
I notice you make a lot of "News" posts and seem to have a knack of finding obscure items to share.
I just want to say thanks for all the time and effort you put into keeping us informed of the lesser known information
Happy Musiking!

Energy XT is so affordable. When people don't even want to pay that little for a DAW, who could blame him for no longer developing it?

But at least it will give an rebate for upgrading to full version. Beat with postage ca €10 + upgrade €29 = €39
That is saving €20 off full price

The built-in synth is pretty good for the price
The drum sampler is veeeeery basic though

If you perform a little more than a cursory web search, there are a few snippets of information to be found regarding possible future developments and recent events related to ext2 and ext3.

Another plus is that it is very easy to stack patches to build multis. Just load a couple of presets, hold shift while marking them all, and off you go.

Latest update of Energy XT happened back in May, it's not very long ago at all:

Another big plus is that it works on both PC, Mac and Linux platform.
Not many other DAW's got that platform uniformity.
