Anyone know how to tune samples to a key in Logic Pro X?

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to tune samples to a key in Logic Pro X. When I add toms to my track, I always struggle getting them to fit nicely with the track. I was wondering if anyone could help me?

Kind Regards,

Sam

What are you using to play back the samples? ESX should be able to play them back pitched correctly.

For audio files, view the sample in the audio file editor.
Select time and pitch machine.
Change the pitch (its in cents so 100 cents = 1 semitone. This can be really time consuming if you have a lot of different samples to tune. If it's like a loop or something, get all the toms in tune with each other, bounce it, then use the pitch machine. Might be easier to convert it to EXS at that point tho.
