who misses the good 'ol Ministry before they went metal?? boy i do!
Ministry "Twitch" is amoung my top 10 all time fav albums.
so in testing a new mic setup, i wanted to try to
do some old Ministry raspy vocals with it...
for the music, this is the team of my Korg T2-strings, Akai AX80-bass, Yamaha SY77-Epiano and Linplug RMiV-drums. I ran my trusty old radio shack/shure SM58 mic into the analog inputs of my Yamaha MU90R synth module. i was rather pleased with the results using the MU90R's built in multi-effects processor. so this turned into a very loose oldskool Ministry tribute thing. enjoy!

Wow! That's a dead on Twitch-era Al Jourgensen vocal. You are doing part of the first verse of "We Believe." I think it is a successful mic test but a little repetitive. Please cover the whole song. Or if you are taking requests, "Over the Shoulder."

Nice job, layzer. This tune features lots of the usual layzer instrumental stalwarts, but now, with the addition of processed vocals, Frantz has some competition to worry about Or, is layzer playing the long game, and gearing up for full acapella harmonies on his next track? Time will tell.
Good work

There is no competition. I am the undisputed king of bad vocals.seismic1 wrote:Frantz has some competition to worry about

Haven't really listened to Ministry but I enjoyed this track. Vocal effects are interesting... You'll be doing death metal next
If they went metal after this style then it was a big change.
Nice!
