you asked about recording, so im going to assume you dont want to download the audio from youtube. i myself almost never want to actually download entire things from youtube, but i often want to record bits and pieces of things.
for this purpose i find audacity to be just about the easiest thing going. simply set it to record "what you hear" hit the record button then press play on youtube (or anything else)...done.
its also a pretty decent editor with enough tools and effects (or use your own vst effects) to get the job done.
oh yeah...and its free.

well, that wasnt the question....and is also not accurate.
" B. Content is provided to you AS IS. You shall not download any Content unless you see a “download” or similar link displayed by YouTube on the Service for that Content. so technically youre supposed to get permission first, but you are allowed to do it.

I didn't know that Audacity had that functionality. Thanks. I only had to set the audio host to wasapi and the recording device to speakers (on the toolbar below the transport controls) and press record. That's about as easy as it gets.chaosWyrM wrote:you asked about recording, so im going to assume you dont want to download the audio from youtube. i myself almost never want to actually download entire things from youtube, but i often want to record bits and pieces of things.
