Good Day,
At the moment my aim has been learning to recording some
specific sound effects -
atmosphere sounds -
using Pro Tool 11 so plugins need to be AAX
using Logic X Pro
looking for a great either plugin or software that is up todate with no time strecthing or picth shifting artifacts after the fact is done meaning the result

...i don't trust on "real time" time stretching plugin, though.

Photosounder does a pretty good job at it. In fact I'd like to think it's the best at extreme time-stretching, but I wouldn't be the most objective person . See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTi_HwdlJ20

I've been using iZotope RX4 for time stretching audio. Results have been excellent.

Ins't it reserved to the advance version ?billcarroll wrote:I've been using iZotope RX4 for time stretching audio. Results have been excellent.
otherwise their is also this :

almost as good , IMO, as superVP processing in Audiosulpt and well suited to treat a huge number of samples simultaneously...

Yes, that is true. Radius RT (Time & Pitch) is only in the iZotope RX4 Advanced stand-alone app.Krakatau wrote:Ins't it reserved to the advance version ?billcarroll wrote:I've been using iZotope RX4 for time stretching audio. Results have been excellent.

The IRCAM stretch mode inside MachFive 3 is the best stretching and shifting algo I've heard/used so far. It is extremely CPU intense at the best possible settings, but it's worth it. Basically it works like in a sampler/sample player, drag and drop audio into M5, then either play the sample on the keys or transpose it in the oscillator settings.
Then there is the free app PaulStretch (I think it's Mac only) which also produces very decent results and has some extra fetures like adding harmonics, binaural panning, compression, filtering and more.
MetaSynth also has a butter-smotth spectral stretch mode, where you can also shift/transpose the partials, or only certain parts of a sound and you can do gaziliion of other things too of course.

Here is an example made with MachFive, at the beginning you hear the original duduk phrase followed by the stretched results, played polyphonically in real time, all FX are M5 as well.

Not bad but I looking for using for sound effects like to take a raw capture recording of a specific sound -shaddering glass from two or more listening perspectives
then take other broken piecs of glass and use tool different tools to see what kind of different sounds can make
then when done
bring it in when I can us time stretching and picth shifting to layer and group etc..
