These files have the correct wavetable header, you can put them directly into the wavetable folder.

These are great! Having owned a MW1, having the MicroWave Wavetables in Serum would be the closest to having my MW back in my studio.

Do you have any more Waldorf wavetables?

Really nice!

Is that patch taken from concentrated or from a new soundset?

Here is one the presets I made with Serum. This one is about physical modeling. Here I use primary Noise generator which output goes to comb filter and resonates there. You can here in the beginning how pure noise becomes like a horn. Later I play notes randomly and change macros.

Macro 1 - Resonance Attack
Macro 2 - Resonance Hold
Macro 3 - Resonance Amount
Macro 4 - Pitch FX
Velocity controls kind of presence - sounds like you would apply low pass filter on it but it's something else.
Mod wheel add osc layer to bring more low end to the sound.

I was pretty impressed how well comb filter reacts to amplitude changes, making it very usable as resonator.

Good question...

Its part of the Free Bonus Pak soon to be added to the accounts of those who purchased the "Concentrated" for Serum presets.

Although, "Concentrated" has been released, the pre-release discount and Bonus Pak is still available for a little longer.

Its a $10 discount with code, "serum".

I am proud to say that the Bonus Pak has some of the best presets yet! :tu:

I too like the combs in Serum a lot, the only really disturbing thing in this interesting demo is the ringy metallic reverb that spoils the party for me somewhat

Another preset from the BONUS PAK.

An airy vocal full of pathos:

I love me some Khoomei. Is that your vocal?

Very nice. :tu:

So is the BONUS PAK contained within the Concentrated-VSP.zip file, or would it be a separate ZIP download in the Account Downloads area?

Yea, me to.
Give me harmonic vocals or Khoomei anytime.

I have done some of this singing, I'm OK at it but my friend is MUCH better. :)

No, the Bonus Pak will be added to the accounts of all the early buyers in a few weeks.
Its additional presets, waves and tables to the original 120.

A Bonus to all the early buyers.

I really like this synth, I hope to be able to pick it up before the intro price runs out....

General thoughts to improve it:

+1 for wavetable and noise subfolder support.

The modulation matrix is a nice feature too, but the limit of 8 is far too small. I think the best solution would be tabs/pages, with additional banks of 8 created as needed. That way the interface stays clean but without the restrictions on sound design currently imposed.

Double the macros (to match Massive), and double the oscillators would be great too. A/B oscillator pages like Sylenth would mean the interface could basically stay the same, but those extra oscillators are there for those that want them. Obviously not every system would be able to handle it, and while some amazing sounds can already be made with 2 oscillators, if Serum wants to be a cutting edge, next generation synth it should probably be able to match most current synths in that area.

As for the GUI, I think it's amazing, but I constantly found myself wishing I could make it larger. Please consider allowing delectable sizes in a future update.

There's 16 mod matrices already (note the scrollbar on the right).

FWIW Serum has 4 oscillators already (you can use single-cycle files in the noise osc if you're so inclined, and I have some ideas for Sub osc enhancement). Also you can get a single main osc playing different WTs simultaneously, using the UnisonWT parameter on the Global page.

Right now I'm focused on performance and bug improvements and I'm slowly branching out into enhancements in the beta versions (available to reg'd users). In the following development phase, I'll be sorting all of the user requests (which there's no shortage of) and incrementally adding things. Ultimately it's about adding power/features without adding in any clutter.
