Ok, here it is: Kick and Crash are extern. Snare is 50% extern, 50% Bazille (layered). Everything else is Bazille

That's a fantastic demo track, some of the sounds in there are awesome. I really want to buy this synth, fingers crossed I can get it before the price goes up. I've tried the demo and i think the CPU use has improved a lot.

Oh, I don't disagree, I was just trying to take a different POV. Actually, I had some time with the official release and TBH, I have no idea why anyone would complain about the presets. Sure, there are the typical experimental sounds you'd expect from a modular, but there also seemed to be plenty of more standard patches to work with or use as a template.pdxindy wrote:When I first started using Bazille, it was like that for me too... But over time I started to become more fluid and able to have a destination in mind and actually get there. Like anything, practice improves ones skills.zerocrossing wrote:I know that with myself, when I sat down with the Bazille beta, I went off on a long circuitous journey that led to... a crazy sounding patch that I'd be hard pressed to use in an actual composition. Maybe for a brief sound effect. We all have different ways of working and if Foosnark is looking for traditionally musical sounding presets, well there are thousands of software solutions for that. Bazille is not that kind of instrument.
And while I agree that Bazille is not focused on traditional types of presets, it is quite capable of doing all sorts of such sounds... and doing them very well. Just because it does not come with a bunch of standard EDM presets does not mean I would willingly concede the term musical. I find Bazille to be exceptional for how musically expressive it is. Bazille also lends itself to a natural organic quality that I consider very musical.
A few more 'normal' sounds of mine...

Yes!Chapelle wrote:You can mark them as “junk“ with the right-click menu, then they will be hidden.
*Every* synth should have that feature... A synth becomes instantly more useful if the sounds that you just hate are hidden (but still available to be unhidden should you need to go find something wacky).
Great feature.

It's a pretty standard u-He synth thing. At least Zebra and Diva also have it.beely wrote:Yes!Chapelle wrote:You can mark them as “junk“ with the right-click menu, then they will be hidden.
