I haven been playing with the Synthedit 1.2xxx preview. I have made some plugins for my personal needs.
But I have a mysterious problem. When I use the plugins I created with Synthedit 1.2xxx within the same windows installation where it was created, everything works fine.
But if I try to use the plugin with another installation of windows (I have a dual boot windows 7 x64), the plugin loads without GUI. This happens with all hosts, so it is not related to host/daw in any way.
Recently I installed Windows 8, and guess what...? The plugins are loading without gui. The gui works only within the system they were originally created.
There is no mention that there is such a demo limitation. But I don't know is the terms have changed since 1.1 and not yet documented. However, it's strange that none has ever asked the same question.
So does anyone know what is going on?

I would think that if he offers a preview (beta test version) of his program he would provide a venue for reporting issues...are you sure there isn't one?

I've heard the same thing w/unregistered versions of 1.1. I don't think the demo versions since 1.1 are supposed to be exportable, or reliably so.

SE1.2 is Alpha - not even Beta(

And was that also a limitation to 1.1914 version?
